Expanded Learning Partners

STARTSACRAMENTO START (Hosted at each school - TK-6th Grade)

The Sacramento START program helps children throughout the Robla school district gain knowledge, expand their universe outside neighborhood boundaries, provide opportunities to grow and flourish, build and develop trust, and create and fulfill dreams. With this in mind, the program promotes youth development and builds on individual student assets. Positive youth development promotes social and emotional growth and greater attachment to school, which, in turn, translates into enhanced learning opportunities during the regular school day. The Sacramento START program includes homework assistance, enrichment (literacy), and recreation.

HELINHELIN INSTITUTE (Hosted at each school - 5th-6th Grade)
The Human Endowment Leadership Inter-National (HELIN)  institute's primary focus is on programs that have an educational impact on youth while developing them into the leaders of tomorrow.  The HELIN institute provides training for staff and materials for students who are prepared to exceed the ELO-P benchmark requirements. Robla’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program will partner with HELIN to create, develop, and implement structured programs to serve our 5th and 6th-grade students.

ROBERT FAMILY DEVELOPMENT CENTER (Hosted at Taylor Street School  - K-6th Grade
RFDCOur services are focused on serving low-income families who struggle to secure quality care and academic support for their children. Students in these economically challenged families often struggle to keep up academically during the school year, leading to the achievement gap.  This achievement gap is compounded by summer learning loss, putting them farther and farther behind with each passing year.  Without support, children in these families often become trapped in a multigenerational cycle of poor life outcomes, including poverty, lack of education, involvement with law enforcement, chronic health conditions, prolonged stress, etc.
