Robla Preschool
We treasure the uniqueness of each child, promote healthy families, and provide key experiences that support children’s natural interests as they explore, learn and discover. Robla Preschool nurtures children’s natural curiosity and uses it as a foundation for language development, and we use both play-based and project-based learning approaches to foster learning and social-emotional skills in positive, natural, meaningful, engaging, and hands-on activities.

Eligibility: Birth - 4 years old. Parents whose 4 year old children are TK eligible also have the option to place their child in the preschool program at the Robla Preschool. Four year old children who attend Robla Preschool in the 2024-25 school year may attend TK or Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year, depending on their birthday.

Options available at Robla Preschool:

• Part and full-day preschool programs to children 3 to 4 years old
• Playpals program designed for parent and child learning for children who are birth to 3 years old. This program helps transition children to preschool and supports parenting skills.
• Dual Language Immersion program
• Weekly science program
• Events engage children through music and art
• Full-day childcare program (limited availability) for those who meet the need criteria.

Hours & Fee Information

• AM Program: 8-11 a.m. (Breakfast included)
• PM Program: 12-3 p.m. (Lunch included)
• Full Day Program: 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Breakfast and lunch included)
• Preschool and childcare are free for qualified families; fees are based on sliding scale based on income

Arrival: Children choice time

Morning Opening:  Attendance, flag, calendar, weather, movement
English Language Arts: Whole and small group instruction including literature, introduction of themes, poetry, rhyming, letters, sounds, phonemic awareness
Math: Whole and small group instruction
Free Choice Time – child-initiated and teacher-directed projects/activities at learning centers; art, math, reading, writing, science, imaginative play, building, etc. 

Calming Activities: Yoga, read aloud, language development activities
Gross Motor Development: movement

 Science and Social Studies:  whole and small group instruction
Closing: Remembering our learning for the day, passing out papers, good-byes
