Welcome to Bell Avenue Elementary School, home of the Tigers!
Bell Avenue School has an outstanding staff of classroom teachers, instructional assistants and support staff who are well-trained and dedicated to teaching. Our district’s curriculum for language arts and math matches the goals of our state standards for achievement in these areas. Our school has worked very hard each year to improve our test scores and for the third consecutive year, we have an increase in scores at Bell Avenue School. Our ultimate goal is for all children to be reading at or above the 50th percentile; we need your continued help to meet this goal.
Our school has activities to build school spirit as well as academic accomplishments. Some of our traditional activities include: assemblies for music, art and dramatics; an art club; a quilting club; our school-wide reading contest, Dr. Seuss celebrations; our annual spelling bee; an active Student Council; the 6th Grade Mendocino Outdoor Ed experience; community service and more to make for a fun year! Parents, for you we have a “Friends of the Library Club,” Fall Family Cultural Festival, Spring Fine Arts Celebration, School Site Council, and the Bell Avenue Parent Involvement Club.
Please call if you have any questions about our school program. Our office is open to you; our goal is to establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with our families. We’d like you to become a volunteer parent and participate regularly in our school; your help is valued by our students and the staff.
